The Scout Plus uses 3 Modules to optimize base structure and edge finish. 

Disc Module – The Scout’s Ceramic Disc Finish for tuning sides and base edges employs exactly the same technology used by ski manufacturers and The US Ski Team. The discs guarantee an extremely precise edge geometry, a precise grinding angle, smooth edge surfaces and consistent grinding quality over the entire length of the ski.
Polishing Module – The polishing module is the ideal addition to the disc module. The finishing touches.  Precision edge finish down the entire length of the ski.
Stone Module – The Wintersteiger Scout Plus can create a structure for your ski bases that will maximize sliding performances on both Alpine and Cross Country skis.  This structure will promote faster slide as well as better control.

Snowboards

When do you need a tune? How do you know?

It depends on the snow conditions, the terrain and your performance level as to how often you have your equipment tuned. Major base or edge damage should be repaired immediately.

WINTERSTEIGER recommends tuning

  1. Prior to the first outing in winter
  2. About every 4 days out on the slopes
  3. And at the end of the season.

With excellent tuning, the performance of your ski/board can even be adjusted to your skiing or boarding skills. Inform the service technician which skiing/riding style you prefer, which terrain you like best and what other problems you have. This way, the technician can adapt the tuning perfectly to your style!
